VIKING SWORDS, SEAXES AND SILVERWARE.

My name is Bob Davies.   I have been involved in viking re-enactment for over twenty years, and am
a member of the Valhalla Herred, which is a viking age re-enactment group.

One of my first jewellery creations was the penannular brooch on my cloak in the picture.
I then trained as a silversmith at the School of Jewellery, Birmingham. From this I progressed to making viking age jewellery based on various archaeological finds from Europe. Next I learnt to make combat swords for fellow re-enactors.

Combining my knowledge of viking age jewellery and swords, I further  developed my silversmithing skills to recreate the silver inlay and overlay swords discovered from this period, such as the Ballateare and Knock-y-Doonee swords found in the Isle of Man. I have also made specialist silver pieces, such as cups, bangles and crowns, examples of which you can find on the site, and in the photo gallery pages.

All pieces are individually handcrafted by myself, and not mass produced.

I hope you enjoy!!
